PoE 2 Loot Filter Sounds and Alerts
A sound can help you notice a drop when its label is outside your focus. LootBase lets you choose an alert for a shown item and preview it with the visual settings.
Built-in game alerts
Choose a built-in sound and volume in the item editor. The exported filter writes a PlayAlertSound command with a game sound ID, so no separate audio file is needed.
Custom audio files
You can also select an uploaded or bundled custom sound. The exported rule references the file through CustomAlertSound and disables the ordinary drop sound for that alert.
LootBase stores an uploaded custom sound beside the filter file you selected. Keep the sound file there when using or sharing the exported filter.
Pair sound with a visual cue
Set text, border or background colors, a beam and a minimap icon where useful. Reserve your most noticeable combination for drops you want to recognise immediately; quieter alerts can remain easier on the eyes and ears.
