How LootBase Market Data Works
Market information provides context while you configure a filter. It is a snapshot, not a guarantee that an item will sell for the displayed amount.
Two league economies
LootBase keeps the current Softcore and Hardcore league markets separate. The league selector changes the prices shown in the editor; it does not change an item’s official English BaseType in the exported filter.
Sources and refresh
For ordinary items, the market worker uses poe.ninja first and POE2Scout to fill missing current prices. For equipment bases with sockets or 30% quality, a separate local update uses official trade listings.
The aggregate refresh target is every four hours during the initial league window and every twelve hours afterward. The actual latest update timestamps appear in the editor; availability and source delays can make a snapshot older.
Use prices as context
Trade listings, sample sizes and availability change. Review the current market before making important decisions, especially for uncommon bases or newly introduced items.
Price information helps you choose visibility and emphasis; LootBase exports filter rules, not a live price feed embedded in the .filter file.
